About

Hi. I'm Patrick.

I'm a notorously known autodidact in my mid 30s with more interests than free time. If I had unlimited money, I would probably live in a big cabinet of curiosities.

Most projects I'm working on, start with an impulsive purchase of old technical junk on eBay. I enjoy restoring it and get it working again. People, that are visiting my home, already evolved the ritual to look for new funny devices.

My other hobbies include motorcycling (Yamaha MT07), scuba diving, playing drums, making music, hiking, bushcraft, archery, neglecting my sourdough and much more. I find people strange, who say that their hobbies are reading, meeting friends and hearing music (but I guess those people find me even stranger ).

I have an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and for living I am working as an electrical engineer for security microcontrollers in Munich.
